Running was tough today
I think I can answer why it was tough, probably down to spin & combat yesterday & not stretching after! I started off doing 2 mins run 1 min walk did this 3x & a friend came over to chat completely distracting me so did a couple more then decided to walk fast on an incline. I covered 3k but felt disappointed in myself. I did have an hours pt after which involved squats & lunges on the bosu ball which I love using as really engages your core. I've eaten clean today which has made me feel better but after eating & drinking pretty much what I have wanted over the last few weeks I can honestly say training has not been as good as when I eat well. I'm back on my plan on Monday food is planned for all meals & I am so looking forward to it as training will be much more productive. I have another PT session at 0630 so off to bed at 9. X

No running but no rest!
Had a fabulous day today. Firstly auto glass came to replace my windscreen which had to pay £100 excess for but on a positive note it doesnt affect my no claims. As they were early I got to go to a lunchtime spin class. I then went back to the gym tonight to do combat & boy am I aching now! Tonight I have been for a thai meal with friends and so all in all a great day. Tomorrow I will be doing the same running I did yesterday so 2 mins run 1 min walk x 10. I then have a pt session which I think will be heavy weights & if I'm up for it which I guess I will be then I'll be off to another combat class tomorrow night. Hope you've all had a fabulous day. X

1st day training to run
I'm feeling very proud of myself today as I've been to the gym & have started training for my 10k run. On the advice of a women's running book I bought I ran 2 minutes & walked 1 minute & I did this 10 times. By the last 2 I was shattered & my speed was slow. I ran 3.8k in that time & speed as average of 8 which I know when I have just done the odd minute or 2 is slow. Tomorrow it's back to the gym but not to run ill be doing a combat class. Next run is Thursday prior to my pt session.

Boxing day 2011
As someone who spent most of their life over weight I took action 3&1/2 years ago losing 5 stone. Just over 2 years ago I took up exercise & am hooked. I love body pump, body combat, spin & this year I've got myself a personal trainer & taken my fitness to another level. However I'm still not a runner! I seem to have a mental block where runnings concerned & I panic & can't breath! Anyway enough is enough (as Donna Summer once sang) I've signed up for the Manchetster 10k in May so I've started this blog as whilst at the moment I'm a non runner I will become a runner! Please stick with me through the ups & downs & I promise to be open & honest making you laugh, cringe & cry with me. x
